Spay-Neuter Program

Standish has a reduced-cost spay/neuter program in which a number of veterinary hospitals participate. We offer reduced-cost spay or neutuer to owners who qualify for financial assistance. Every cat adopted from our shelter is spayed or neutered.

In 2015, Standish coordinated the spay or neuter of 570 cats and dogs.  We would like to thank the area veterinarians listed here who participate in our program as well as the Animal Rescue League of Boston for bringing its “Spay Waggin” mobile surgical van to Holmes House each month. The following represents the number of animals sterilized through our program in 2015:
